Today’s Crypto Winners, Losers, and News Makers (Oct. 1 2019)

Last week, the floor lowered for Bitcoin, and the daddy of all coins took the rest of the market with him. It still hasn’t recovered. Today, Tether, which had moved up to No. 4, and Bitcoin Cash flipped places. Tether’s back at fifth in the line up with Litecoin nipping at its heels. But let’s look at the winners and losers.

Today’s Winners

Crypterium is today’s biggest gainer at 71.26 percent. Somebody must have put pop rocks in his breeches. Zcoin, the second biggest gainer, went up a measly 13.15 percent while HedgeTrade, which I hadn’t heard of until now, rose 10.69 percent. The fourth biggest gainer was Algorand at a cool 9 percent. That’s interesting because just a few days ago Algorand was on the bottom of the top 100. Cosmos is the fifth biggest gainer at 8.68 percent.

Keep in mind these are the standings among the top 100 cryptocurrencies, not the full list.

Now let’s talk about the losers.

Biggest Crypto Losers Today

Dragon Coins lost their fire and is at the bottom of the top 100 with a 7.39 slide today. Bytecoin, not much better, registered a 6.10 percent loss. Zilliqa lost 5.62 percent while Seele lost only 3.45 percent. The fifth biggest loser among the top 100 is Lambda.

This list is a bit disappointing because the only one among them I haven’t heard of until now is Seele. That’s unusual. Zilliqa has high hopes so I expect it to bounce back. Lambda, hmm, maybe. It’s got fans and detractors, so we’ll see.

At any rate, let’s talk about who made the news.
